It’s fall, and the festivities have begun! Whether you have a large family or want a fun activity to do with friends, fall is filled with plenty of corn mazes, petting zoos, pumpkin patches, train rides, haunted attractions, and parties. There is something for everyone, regardless of age. We’ve put together a list of some attractions around the area, but make sure to check out their websites first to determine whether each one is right for your children or your group of friends:

Haunted Hotel Ball: Wear your scary ballroom gowns and attend the ball! There will be live DJs, dancing, and a bar. The best costumes will win a prize!
Rocker 7 Farm Patch: This is a great place to learn about a working farm! It offers activities for the entire family, including a u-pick pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo, straw pyramid, and more. Visit http://rocker7farmpatch.com.
As always, it’s important to take certain precautions while visiting any of these public attractions. Plan ahead and you can reduce your chances of being injured during the festivities. For example, make sure you know how to get there, where to park, and what you’ll need (such as snacks, water and cash). Plan to take a designated driver or use public transportation if you will be drinking alcohol at the event.
If there are bouncy houses and petting zoos, check the facility’s safety record (a quick Google search will let you know if people have been injured there in the past). Make sure bouncy houses are securely anchored and don’t enter them during high-wind days. If you visit petting zoos, monitor your children carefully so they aren’t bitten or kicked.
Taking a few simple precautions can keep you safer, but accidents do still happen. If you are injured at a public attraction, contact The Husband and Wife Law Team right away.
