There are dog parks, aquatic facilities, educational centers, swimming pools and spray pads. There’s a skateboard park, a veterans’ park, and wetlands. There really is something for everyone!
Here are a few of the local favorites:

Following the rules in Chandler parks, as well as any other recreational sites, is important in order to stay safe. Park rules include:
Recreate during open hours only.
Stay in open areas and avoid those marked “closed.”
Avoid disturbing the environment, and don’t deface property.
Don’t dump garbage; no littering.
Don’t bathe in public waters.
Don’t skateboard outside of designated areas.
Don’t remove property, equipment, fish, or plants.
No fireworks.
No fires, hot-air balloons, deadly weapons, or glass containers.
No dogs unless posted signs allow them.
When visitors follow these rules, they help keep everyone safe. However, there are instances where someone breaks the rules and causes accidents and injuries to others.
Slip-and-Fall Injuries at Parks
Injuries can happen anywhere, at any time. But it’s especially traumatic when the injury could have been prevented and it wasn’t. Instead, a person or company acted negligently and created a situation that caused harm to someone else.
For example, if a visitor disobeys posted rules and decides to light fireworks, someone else could be badly burned. Others may be hurt when they are running away from the fireworks and they trip and fall. The victims may face costly medical bills and time off work, and may have a legal case.
Another example: there could be a leak or spill at an aquatic center that makes the ground more slippery than usual. If there is no caution sign posted, people might slip and fall and injure themselves. While aquatic centers often have wet floors, they should notify people if there are no non-slip mats in place, or if it is not a spot that is typically wet.
What to Do If You Are Injured
Immediately call for medical assistance, and note the time and location of your accident. If possible, record the name of the person you feel is responsible for the accident. Take photos with your cellphone of the person, the location, and any other details.
After you have been treated by medical personnel, contact a slip-and-fall attorney at The Husband and Wife Team at Breyer Law Offices, P.C., for a complimentary consultation. They’ll review the facts and let you know what the next step should be. It’s important to have someone on your side, working hard for your best interest when unexpected accidents occur.
