It seems impossible that this campaign started nearly half a year ago. It seems like only yesterday that we were selecting our very first winner for the Husband and Wife Law Team HEART Campaign, and now we are well into the double digits! Time truly does fly, and nothing makes it move faster than helping others and, of course, good food. Well, throughout that entire time picking new winners, we never received as many nominations as we did with our latest pick: Valle Luna in Chandler!
Valle Luna, also known as the Moon Valley, first opened its doors way back in the 1970s across the country in Syracuse. Back then, it was known as Tia Rita’s Authentic Mexican Food and was run by, wouldn’t you guess it, Rita. Originally Arizonan native, after she moved to New York, she realized she couldn’t find any authentic Mexican food and decided to fix the problem herself. After many busy years, she moved back to Arizona in 1983 and opened up the first Valle Luna location in Phoenix. Since then, Arizona and Valle Luna have been intertwined.
With such a rich history and dedicated customer base, Valle Luna was one of our easiest picks. When we went to the managers to offer our help, they jumped at the opportunity. The restaurant is currently open for dine-in seating, but with how busy this campaign can be, it was decided that it would be best if the promotion was only applied to takeout orders. With a plan in place, the staff at Valle Luna opened up their doors on September 9 and was met with a never-ending stream of orders. It wasn’t long before the $4,000 goal was hit, and even after that, the orders kept coming in. The staff and managers were thrilled, and so were we!
It’s restaurants like Valle Luna that give Arizona such a rich and beloved history. Without these eateries, we would lose out on amazing culture and soul-enriching meals. That is why Breyer Law Offices, P.C. has dedicated so much time to helping restaurants in need, doing our part to keep them afloat. If you would like to help out, head over to our HEART page and fill out a nomination for your favorite restaurant in Arizona. We are always looking for our next winner.
